This is the website of the rasdaman project.
Rasdaman is an array database system. It allows to retrieve and maintain multi-dimensional [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Array arrays] of unlimited size stored in standard relational databases.
To this end, rasdaman offers an [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sql SQL]-style query language which is evaluated server-side.

The information category array appears in manifold applications, such as earth sciences, space sciences, life sciences, engineering, and multimedia.

Rasdaman allows you, the application developer, to faster set up array-intensive applications which are flexible and scalable.
